Pashmina is renowned the world over for its soft luxury and warmth. Really fine pashminas can pass thru a ring. 'Pashmina' comes from Persian - meaning 'made from wool'. In Kashmir it is also known as 'soft gold'. The wool comes from four varieties of the cashmere goat found in these regions. As the fibre diameter is very low, pashmina has to be hand-processed and woven into products such as shawls, scarves, wraps, throws, stoles, etc. However, the quality of a finished shawl is not solely dependent on the fibre diameter of the wool but also on the craftsmen's skills. Some pashminas are embroidered all over with very fine intricate work, and these are very expensive. Our pashminas are woven by traditional artisans in the villages of Kashmir. These are all reversible and make elegant gifts too. Size L 193cm x W 84cm.
